Hi everyone just a few thoughts about my experiences with Claire . I have engaged with Claire about a year ago with some specific goals, namely: the ability to become a better trail runner , and in the process how to avoid injuries , and how to finish stronger and go longer. Over the last two months i have learnt all about thetechnical side of running but very importantly I discovered that all new runners lack knowledge, and Claire has shared her wealth of experience and knowledge with me, making me a better runner. She helped me with the knowledge of how to train , how to stay injury free , how to recover from an injury and lastly when to rest . Following her advice in her studio with movement practice I am injury free now.
On the trail I have learned how and when i should push on or slowdown while staying in control of my running techniqueand my ability to think about nutrition during a race and leading up to the race, the ability to change my running plan during the race and be happy with the outcome.
Since joining Clairei haverunthe 34 km Hillary, the Rotorua marathon, the double rainbow, the Xterra series and finally the Tarawera 50 km ultra .
To me it was a mammothtask which I was able to achieve with the help of Claire and her expertise, and invaluable support.
